The people I spoke with today didn’t even watch the debate but did watch the first one and the VP debate. So Obama lost an opportunity to impress alot of people who is burned out on it all and their impressions were Obama and Bide sucked and that’s all they wanted to see. They were watching the Yankees game.

Perhaps in the long term. For now, though, it's undoing 3 decades of Carter' image rehab through building houses and acting as ambassador at large (and vote monitor) by reminding everyone just how bad of a President he actually was.
