An illegal gun would be one carried by a felon, an illegal alien, or anyone else carrying without a permit, so I see nothing wrong with this program.

How about just an honest citizen who wants to protect himself from armed muggers in a dangerous neighborhood, in a state (NJ) where TPTB won't "grant" honest citizens a "permit" to carry a firearm, in spite of the clear language of the 2nd Amd?

You would turn that otherwise law-abiding citizen in to the police? Really?

Obey the law or change the law, but break the law at your own peril.

This is not about Illinois where “honest citizens” may not be issued a carry permit. Residents of New Jersey may be issued concealed carry permits.
