It's time ONE grade of fuel is used by ONE nation. ONLY the feds can mandate a blend a standard fuel that meets THEIR standards for emissions.

It's the ONLY way to end this ridiculous state seasonal/custom blending by idiots like Cali's ARB.

Remember those fools mandated that MTBE, a known water soluable cancer causing agent oxygenate be added to all Calistan gasoline?

That's the same poison that blows out tailpipes of cars passing through farmlands and settles on the fields, then leaches into the soil contaminating crops and polluting the water tables.

Shows what you choose to ignore. In the first place there are at least two very necessary grades of diesel, and what I consider at least three or four necessary grades of gasoline, but we agree completely about the many other seasonal grades as long as the octane necessity for the many engines on the road is taken care of and winter is accomodated as well.

IIRC there is a low octane fuel for engines allowing eighty five octane. Eighty seven octane is the industry standard of today, Ninety one high octane. There is also a need for a racing fuel, and 100LL for aircraft use, and that doesn’t cover jet fuel, and a whole lot of other needs.

For years the INDUSTRY has been able to take care of the needs of transportation in this country without the meddling of the federal government. Why is it, having shown us their meddling hand, you are willing to give the agency causing the problems, more power to wield against those who know the industry and needs of the nation? Private industry is fully capable of fullfilling the needs of the nation.
