Grew up on a bluff over the locks on the Muskingum, several miles upstream of that Pic.
I remember when the Clean Air Act shut down the Steel Mills along the River, then the coal mines that supplied them, then the barges that carried the coal and the steel went away.
My grandfather ran an asphalt plant, right where the river ran in to the Ohio, and would sometimes take the speedboat to work. Sometimes, I would ride along, taking pictures of the barges as they passed. Or go on the Delta Queen for lunch in the summer, while they played the steam steam calliope.
A wealthy area totally destroyed by government’s crushing of the American Business spirit, beginning in the early 70’s.

That's the line when it became apparent this was wild fiction.
Barack Obama has been a good President she said I don't take issue, really, with the lies and cover-ups, it's all in the name of national security after all. You can't trust the Republicans, they have a tendency to say what they really believe and then keep their promises. That is just not something we should look for in a politician.
