BTW she is seeing a doctor, and will be taking his advice as to whether to try gingko therapy... it's just that if she gets the green light for the experiment, I want her to experiment with a high quality product...Thanks again.

Just noticed I’ve spelled ginkgo as both ginkgo and gingko... maybe I’m the one who needs to take ginkgo/gingko :^(

I work with seasoned citizens every day and none of them use gingko. None of their doctors prescribe gingko. The evidence for it helping memory is sparse at best. It probably wouldn't hurt anything but there may be better ways to spend your money.

Eating a low carbohydrate diet helps in getting rid of brain cobwebs.

Get her out and about. A new project or hobby helps perk up the brain.

Read a study recently that ginko biloba was not helpful....wish I’d have saved the article.

I’d be researching coconut oil/dementia/alzheimers. Have read of some impressive results from using it.

Be aware that Gingko Biloba may block the action of the hypertension drug Lotrel (amlodipine benazepril). Wait several hours after taking the Lotrel before taking the gingko.

I accidentally took a triple dose of gingko once, on the morning of a training session at work. I became acutely depressed and overwhelmed by feelings of sadness and had to leave the class. I leveled out after a few hours and felt okay, but I will never chance that again— it was awful.
