Yes Obama has a little bit more of a black accent. He does praise Rev Wright as a friend and mentor, putting the lie to the claim that they weren’t close.

And he does say that the Stafford Act matching funds were waived for NYC and Hurricane Andrew and not for Katrina. And implies that it’s racial.

He also calls for investment in minority owned businesses. It’s obviously a minority crowd.

But he also claims Wright introduced him to Jesus Christ. And that he became aware that he could be forgiven and redeemed. This is the strongest statement I’ve seen from Obama talking about his Christianity. It’s the only time I’ve seen him passionate about it. I think this statement more than counters the racial angle.

Well, like the rest of the thousands of denominations of christianity, this only means he was introduced to that version of Jesus Christ. I can tell you that Wright's & Obama's "Jesus Christ" is NOT like any other christian's version of Jesus.

Actually, the Christianity aspect will hurt him with his base. They don't like Christians very much.
