Death panels are the (unspoken) fix for Medicare and SS funding - and yes if you cut the lifespan enough the numbers DO work....
Those media personalities and politicians who scoffed at her for making this claim ought to be asked if they're ready to apologize either for being stupid, gullible fools or for intentionally misleading the public.
