In fact, it could be counterproductive, since a pragmatically worse situation could lead to a quicker demise of the corrupted system, allowing a quicker restoration.There is no guarantee there will be a "restoration" of the sort they are hoping for. And there is no guarantee they will still be around to witness the restoration, especially with Obama's death panels.
