I haven’t met too many 23 year olds that consider anything past perhaps planning for the weekend. Consequences are not an immediate consideration. Thirst for “action” will be their motivation. Well, if GenX/Y is any indication, thirst for praise and a pat on the head as well.
I wish I still had a copy of the “Leatherneck” magazine with the full-page back cover ad from the San Diego PD, touting their “direct military to SWAT” program.
It showed a SWAT cop in black from helemet to boot, with a black MP-5.
“Getting out? Still want the ACTION?”
