Ah! Now I got it! (Feeling crunchy...very crunchy...)

You bring up an interesting point that should be explored further. Since when does being an intellectual mean one has to be an atheist ? Some of the most prominent thinkers in world history were religious or at believed in God in one form or another. (St. Augustine, St. Thomas, the Founders, and yes, Albert Einstein believed in God in his own way.)

Hmmm....sounds like a future blog....Thank you!

Although I still don't think you're getting my point. It's not that one can be an intellectual and believe in G-d, but that one could conceivably be a leftist without being either an atheist or an intellectual. That's almost impossible in our own day, but it might have been possible in prior times.
