“I told you why the utilities are installing them. It ain’t about control just because you say they are. They have NO capacity to shut off your refrigerator, your phone, nor your TV. At all.”

You keep talking in the present tense. I’M NOT AN IDIOT. I know EXACTLY how my appliances work, I bought them, I installed them, I service them, and I fix them. I know that they have NO DATA LINKS AT ALL. I also know that all changes in 5 years (10 years at most) when people buy new appliances. That is my point - so don’t try the semantics trick on me.

And how are the future appliances talking to your smart meter? Does it involve a consumer choice at all? Yes, it does. There is no forcing. Period.
