Where are Ford engines and transmissions made?

The 5.0 V8s in the Mustang and pickups are made in Canada. The Mustang's manual is made in China. The Mustang's V6 and auto are made in the US. BTW, the Mustang's competitors, the Camaro and Challenger, are build in Canada, so the Mustang is as close to American as you're going to get with American muscle cars.

The Fusion is made in Mexico, but the V6 is made in the US.

BTW, all of this can be found on the window stickers, if you're looking to keep the US part content as high as possible. If your point is that even Ford has foreign parts content, yup, no getting away from that.
