I will never understand wy when the lib/dems started this BS that GW didn’t get on TV and say in no uncertain terms that release of Gitmo prisoners to anyone would result in this. And that as a national security issue the SC and the Dems could pound salt. The “They made the decision, now let them enforce it’ strategy. Bush screwed up, CONGRESS post 2010 screwed up not hammering Obama through the wall...but Obama and the dems bear ultimate responsibility. History will be harsh on them all.

Old lord McCain was a loud as any lib/dem on emptying out Gitmo. He wanted them brought to Ft. Leavenworth, KS. I would love to know old lord McCain's angle in all of this since 2000, he hardly led a 'conservative' front. He and Billy Kristol led the charge to oust Rummy from the Pentagon almost from day one of Rummy being sworn in. Old lord McCain has some explaining to do, as he was as much a cheerleader in the Arab Spring as Obama or Clinton.
