Like it or not, this is on Bush's watch. And as I recall, pretty much all FReepers said any such moves were stupid and would result with the released prisoners launching attacks against US targets again.

And that as a national security issue the SC and the Dems could pound salt. The “They made the decision, now let them enforce it’ strategy.
Bush screwed up, CONGRESS post 2010 screwed up not hammering Obama through the wall...but Obama and the dems bear ultimate responsibility. History will be harsh on them all.
