I've spent most of my lifetime with atheists and agnostics.

Statements like the one quoted tend to push people away who most need to hear and see what faith looks like, that they might also be called, by good example, and not chased away by negative emotions that confirm what they "know" about Christians and Christianity.

What 'you think' pushes people away is no concern to me either! People who want Truth are attracted to those who have it, I know because I experience it all the time.
