Some people don't get it.
He was whisked away for the sole purpose to be interviewed/interrogated by the feds.
No doubt they will convince him to make a public statement of apology, and to publicly withdraw his support for the film, asking forgiveness etc...The feds will promise to "go easy" on him for his cooperation and suggest he might be compensated well for changing his ways by taking on a career of writing books, after having seeing his mistakes regarding the Muslim world.
It's going to happen.
This would be a huge boon to Obama and the Muslims.

After the Feds are done with him, just days prior to the election, they put this guy on CNN, with breaking news flashing all over the screen in anticipation for the statement. The world tunes in.
The film maker appears, emotional with his face blurred out, asking the world for forgiveness, apologizing for being hateful towards Muslims and for all the trouble the film caused.
