Instapundit heads the piece “Why Barack Obama Should Resign.” That’s a good title. The column might also be titled, “Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid.” I remember a line from the philosopher David Hume that Hayek used as an epigraph to The Road to Serfdom. “It is seldom,” said Hume, “that liberty of any kind is lost all at once.” There’s the innocent seeming accommodation here, the turning a blind eye to official violations of the law there, and, bang, before you can say Saul Alinsky, people are being rounded up at midnight by brownshirted men for making a movie that embarrasses El Presidente.
In case you think that is a baseless exaggeration by a knuckle-dragging, right-wing hater, take a look at the photo:

Got that? The chap made a movie. (He may also have violated probation, but that herring is red, Comrade.) As Glenn observes, “By sending — literally — brownshirted enforcers to engage in — literally — a midnight knock at the door of a man for the non-crime of embarrassing the President of the United States and his administration, President Obama violated that oath. . . . It is a betrayal of his duties as President, and a disgrace.”
Yep. And he should resign. And, as Glenn further observes, he surely won’t. But the people of the United States, Democrat as well as Republican, should turn him out of office ignominiously in November.
Spot on and well done graphic! I noticed you gave the jpg file a nebulous title so those dadblasted search engines can't see that you are exercising your right to free speech. If you had called it something with his name in it, you might get a knock on your door and be arrested like the man in the photo that is the subject of this thread.
First they deliberately shut down auto dealerships in Republican districts and threw out bankruptcy laws during the GM takeover... then they raided Gibson Guitars... then they allowed the New Black Panthers to put a death warrant on George Zimmerman’s head without any kind of response... then they ordered DOJ investigations and IRS audits of big Romney donors... and now this. (I’m sure I’m missing many examples, btw).
This isn’t simply ol’ “Chicago politics”... this is fascism.

Actually, you’re right. He made the movie in 2011 and sentenced in 2010. The only way he’d get away with it is if someone else posted it after it was made.

Some people don't get it.
He was whisked away for the sole purpose to be interviewed/interrogated by the feds.
No doubt they will convince him to make a public statement of apology, and to publicly withdraw his support for the film, asking forgiveness etc...The feds will promise to "go easy" on him for his cooperation and suggest he might be compensated well for changing his ways by taking on a career of writing books, after having seeing his mistakes regarding the Muslim world.
It's going to happen.
This would be a huge boon to Obama and the Muslims.
those officers and any other in this country when ordered to take a US citizen in to custody for exercising their rights should stand by their OATH and refuse any order that contradicts constitutional law.

BREAKING NEWS- Anti Muslim Film Maker To Give Statement at 2:00 p.m. EST.
After the Feds are done with him, just days prior to the election, they put this guy on CNN, with breaking news flashing all over the screen in anticipation for the statement. The world tunes in.
The film maker appears, emotional with his face blurred out, asking the world for forgiveness, apologizing for being hateful towards Muslims and for all the trouble the film caused.
