Paying fishermen to stay in business is exactly what should not be done.

Of that, there's no doubt. Just presenting this as a case where regulation may seem like a good idea, (preserve the fishery) but ultimately ends up as another government hustle, and creation of more government dependents.

Make my boat a 55’ Ketch with all electronics so I cant fish!
