Well, maybe they could’ve misdirected a few buses full of suspected malcontent delegates to lower the volume of their opposition and avoid such a public debacle.
It was a hideous display of just what Democrats are, and for that I thank God. They were laid bare for anyone who cares enough to witness. However, overriding delegates, abusing and ignoring them seems to be something of a trend these days, and *that* is not a good thing.
Enjoy the mirth, but whining about the trashing of the Electoral College in favor of a national popular vote will ring hollow. Make no mistake, that’s where this is headed, and it ain’t just Democrats who are doing it.
Not in our lifetime. Remember, it would have to be changed via constitutional amendment and the small/swing states would block it for sure.
