“Yes, in fact I do believe it more possible that Mitt would yield to pressure from the Tea Parties than that Obama would.”
What leads you to that conclusion? I assume that willard will do everything he can to consolidate power if he is elected, and the TEA party is a threat. Why would he not act to marginalize them? Afterall, he will have demonstrated that he can win an election without them.
The tea party backs him, including Palin, Rush, Levin, Rubio, ect.... Paul Ryan is a darling of the tea party, and he's his running mate.
That is EXACTLY what Romney and the Ruling Class Establishment DID on Tuesday of the RNC. It makes no difference at this point if Romney is elected or Obama remains - the GOPe and Romney ensured that grassroots Conservatives and the TEA Party will forever be an irrelevant force and player in national politics with the rules changes they made at Boehner's gavel in complete disregard of vocal opposition.
Which makes all this brow-beating by Romney operatives to intimidate anyone not supporting Romney as a 'traitor' deserving of death more than ridiculous considering what their political savior has already done to Conservatives.
You have to look who was loyal to Romney during the primary to tell which side he will take : McCain, Grahamnesty, Christie, Rove, and other NE Republicans. They despise the Tea party and any conservative Republicans and only talk to them when they need them, election year.
During the election he needs them, but after getting into office the Tea party will be a hindrance to what Romney wants to do.
Unfortunately the conservative movement completely dies with Romney, and we are screwed with Obama. No happy ending.
