I feel like I ought to start out each of my articles anymore with a disclaimer, or caveat saying something along the lines of “WARNING: The contents of this article are to be considered null and void in the event of a “Reichstag Fire,” false flag event, and/or an invasion by Russian Spetsnaz in collusion with Northcom,“or words to that effect.

My intent is not to make light of such concerns, as God knows we have reason enough to be more than a bit edgy these days—what with the Patriot Act, NDAA, the torrent of Obama EOs (Executive Orders), various government agencies stockpiling millions of rounds of ammo, and other such things.

Personally, I am what you might call a cynical optimist—I hope for the best, but plan for the worst. I keep myself open to the idea that the US can peacefully pull itself out of the colossal mess that it is currently mired in—but I have enough guns, ammo, freeze dried food and whatnot to open a small survivalist store.

Be that as it may—the main topic that I wish to address in this article is my decision to back the Romney/Ryan ticket, and the fallout from that. Contrary to what some of you may think, I have not rushed off and enlisted in the “Dark Side.” I am as opposed to the Big Bank/ Big Corporation/Big Government/Big War cabal as ever...

mk......your entire post accurately and succinctly states my own posting history and beliefs, exposes exactly what is at stake, denounces the claims of the dishonest and disingenuous 'pure' and 'uber conservatives' who exude nothing and do nothing within FR but express rage and show hate for conservatives who disagree with them.

I didn’t respond to your post. I responded to the other guy. But as for Obama and Romney, there is so little difference from character to policy that the whole angry demand to vote for Romney has always mystified me. The only real votes that matter this election cycle will be in the senate and house, purging Romney’s RINO buddies to lessen the chances of him sticking us with RomneyCare and the other brilliant stuff Mittens did in MA.

I’m not confidant that is going to happen though. Even if we won them, Republican congresses are known to swing left for no apparent reason whatsoever. That’s why Obama, at least, serves as a useful focus point which makes even the scummiest RINO POS at least PRETEND to be conservative in their attempts to be politically opposite of the other guy. Obama is so far left he makes politicians act accidentally conservative.

See, for them as they continually example for us - voting for Romney is the “highest priority”, showcasing that they have their priorities backwards, and exhibit exactly why we suffer the tyranny of this government and society that we do.

The idea of putting God first in all things, including this election, takes a back seat to voting for Romney, whom they see as a defacto savior from the judgment this nation chose for itself in Obama.

Note also that the meme is that if we do not vote for Romney, we are ‘the problem’, which explains their vitriol and hatred rendered upon those of us that dare state we are not voting for Romney out of our faith and/or Conservative principles.

So they attack the reasons for our stated refusal to vote Romney. Faith and principles, which they assign derogatory, ridicule and condescension in myriad terms.

You already see, and will continue to see - they hate those Conservative Christians refusing to vote for Romney more than they hate Obama. Even after Tuesday night at the RNC revealed the Ruling Class/Romney contempt for Conservatives. So these in lockstep with Romney demand we all vote for whom they have chosen to be a political savior from Obama, the one they apparently fear more than following God or His principles.

So attacking those of us refusing to vote for Romney because following God and His principles dictate we cannot, and by attacking our faith and principles directly (ie: purists, sanctimonious a-holes, jackals, etc.), they somehow conclude this is going to shame us into capitulating, or intimidate others who also stand on their faith and principles before politics, into supporting a man whose record is anathema to nearly everything we believe in.

Not gonna happen. Obama and Romney both, I fear are the judgment God is allowing us to suffer because collectively, we have broken the Commandments, and pay lip service to Christ. We will not have decent leaders, because the leaders reflect the decadence and indifference of this people to God and His Ways. It’s why the focus is on electing a man to office to replace and save us from another man this people made king, is the only thing that matters to them in terms of fixing what ails us.

So when we state we refuse to vote for Romney and are going to vote for a Conservative instead, whether write-in or third party - you witness the insane vitriol, blame and hatred toward us that this thread and others like it are replete with.

I am not going to vote for Romney, period. If that makes me part of the ‘problem’ in their estimation - then so be it.

Let them continue to reveal what they truly think of freedom of faith and conscience. It continues to reveal that there is little difference in those worshipping Obama, and those pining for Romney to replace the Marxist king.
