I feel like I ought to start out each of my articles anymore with a disclaimer, or caveat saying something along the lines of “WARNING: The contents of this article are to be considered null and void in the event of a “Reichstag Fire,” false flag event, and/or an invasion by Russian Spetsnaz in collusion with Northcom,“or words to that effect.

My intent is not to make light of such concerns, as God knows we have reason enough to be more than a bit edgy these days—what with the Patriot Act, NDAA, the torrent of Obama EOs (Executive Orders), various government agencies stockpiling millions of rounds of ammo, and other such things.

Personally, I am what you might call a cynical optimist—I hope for the best, but plan for the worst. I keep myself open to the idea that the US can peacefully pull itself out of the colossal mess that it is currently mired in—but I have enough guns, ammo, freeze dried food and whatnot to open a small survivalist store.

Be that as it may—the main topic that I wish to address in this article is my decision to back the Romney/Ryan ticket, and the fallout from that. Contrary to what some of you may think, I have not rushed off and enlisted in the “Dark Side.” I am as opposed to the Big Bank/ Big Corporation/Big Government/Big War cabal as ever...

The republican party has a problem - and it’s based on the fact that they believe that the conservative base will always capitulate and vote the lesser of two evils.

They trot out the argument every 4 years.

The fact that Odumbo is such a communist idiot is just the latest reason for the argument. A true reason - just like it was true 4 years ago - but an argument made from the smug belief that the conservatives have “nowhere to go”.

The party leaders clearly believe that conservatives have no minimum standards for the candidate they support, beyond the fact that the candidate isn’t a democrat.

Again, you must place those verses, along with the one your originally spouted to me, Romans 1:18, in context. I ALREADY SAID, Romans 1 concerns spiritual salvation, or the lack thereof, and the consequences of sin within a person's life. It concerns one's faith in God, or lack thereof. It is not claiming that one has less faith if they take medications rather than go to a faith healer, it is not stating someone should elect a born again Christian to serve as president/leaders.

If you are trying to use the Scriptures to claim you have some kind of moral authority to help re-elect a godless Marxist to the White House, you have failed.

In context, Romans 1:16 and 17 [and all those following throughout the rest of the chapter, regardless of how many of them you keep posting]:

Romans 1 concerns the sinfulness of humanity and the need for each person to receive Christ as their savior and what results when people deny Him as Savior. It isn't pretty what their characters become like without God or after rejecting God. The ENTIRE chapter, however, deals with man's need for salvation and the point for the Gospel of Christ, not whether 'real faith' is measured as to someone using medication rather than relying on a faith healer, or electing a born again Christian for political office.
