"Around the country, the Republican Party is mounting legal challenges to keep third-party candidates off the ballot in November.
Writer Karl Dickey reports in the Examiner that in recent weeks, with the full support and legal assistance of the Republican Party, [Gary] Johnson's ballot status has been challenged in Michigan, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, Iowa and now Ohio." Gary Johnson (pictured) is the former governor of New Mexico and the Libertarian Partys candidate for president of the United States. As of this writing, Johnson is on the ballot in 43 states."

All I’ll say is that you are entitled to your opinion. IMO what they did to conservatives after Reagan is what I cannot and will not forgive them for. They couldn’t have been too conservative after all considering how they so quickly and easily and consistently sold out their so called bonafides after Reagan.
Did the Reagan-dominated GOP try to prevent John Anderson from running as an independent? It might have; I don't remember. Anderson ran in the GOP primaries, lost out early, and ran as a much more serious threat in the 1980 general election than any third-party candidate this year. Anderson got over 5% of the vote.
Well we have all ready established you are a Soros bot pimping for a candidate that was a Democrat when Reagan was President so no suprise you slithered your way on to this thread.
Why are the Romney people getting their undies in a bunch over Johnson? He's not going to get enough votes to matter anywhere.
I'm still waiting for that explanation.
Palin isn’t running! Oh no!
Who said anything about her running in this election? You are such a swine and this thread is about our Constitution and the right for me to run for President so quit forcing me to throw my pearls in front of you.
Wow, I wouldn’t vote for Palin for President. But she has the right to start a third party and either run or find someone to run like Ryan or Rubio.
Y’all get your hackles up over the name Palin. Pretty funny.
I was stating Obamaspeak, not my own philosophy. That's exactly one of the things I'm afraid of. Look at what happens with dissenters in Communist societies. Any time a leader shuts his mind to alternative opinions, he is doomed to fail, or at least be only mediocre.
No I did not. But your ridiculous ‘rumor’ is just plain dumb
You just keep pimping your Soro funded stoodge. We will remember who around here was an pimping for Obama.
And no doubt the same thing for other parties they are suing to remove as well such as The Constitution Party. The Stupid Party is cutting it's nose off to spite it's Two Faces. If a candidate qualifies to get on a ballot each party should live with it and stop trying to destroy the electoral process.
The GOP and DEMs today is simply politically functional Siamese twins of one body {policies}. One adjoined brain controls it one time and the other one the other time as they both share the same agenda. There is no seperation nor in the case of the GOP and DEMs is it being seriously sought. Meaning the third parties of today are indeed the real second party choice as far as difference in national direction and policies go.
My Party Tis of Thee.... Come on now everyone sing... If you don't you are for the liberals.. Brother Rove please lead us all in the party alliance song../sarcasm
There is nothing in the constitution about political parties, so everything is a matter of law enacted by legislatures.
The bottom line to me is simply, if third parties meet the law, then they meet the law.
Also, if we had a law requiring only 2 parties, then that’s no different than one requiring only 1 party, as in Vietnam.
Openness to new parties is at least one evidence that we are not an authoritarian system.
I'll remember who was rude and obnoxious whilst pimping Romney.
Unwad your panties... Your boy is going to win, likely, and you are doing nothing but alienating folks that have been on this conservative web site for a long time.

“..that was very arrogant of you....my guess is you are not a conservative, but a republican party hack.....go away”

Sorry Dude, I’m not going away. I predicted that this thread would attract the usual fools and saboteurs and was proved right since said fools and saboteurs are making their usual appearances.
I am a conservative and, unlike some, actually put my time and limited available finances to work supporting true conservative candidates for the US Senate and, secondarily, for the US House. That support was directed toward helping candidates (such as Mourdock, Fischer & Cruz) defeat opponents who I considered non-conservative in their primaries. I’ll continue to do whatever I can to help such candidates in the general election. I also would like to see a President who will sign the CONSERVATIVE legislation that could come out of a reconstituted Congress.
I’m also a registered Republican but not a “republican party hack”, whatever that is.
And yes, I don’t have a lot of patience for the short-sighted, the foolish and the defeatists amongst us. And I really do not like poseurs who come on to forums such as this and attempt to sabotage conservative efforts.
Got evidence??? Thought not. But your fevered imagination IS working overtime in your frustration that conservatives have no use for EITHER major party candidate.
Your credibility is no better than Dingy Harry Reid claiming that your hero did not pay his income taxes.
What's next? Obozo is being advanced to thwart the Bilderbergers and Trilateralists by blocking Mittler????
Whether you (genuflecting to the GOP-E) elect your POS or the Demons re-elect Obozo, the actual conservatives will still be here picking up the pieces of America after this year's POTUS election disaster and the end of the Romney pox epidemic.
Poseurs are usually those that have been here for less than a year.
You joined my Boot Dewhurst ping list, so I'll suppose you are a conservative.
You might want to calm the rhetoric a little if you want to later (after the election) work with conservatives that disagree with you, and draw different conclusions on this election.

I’ve worked with, and continue to work with, a lot of conservatives (and “near” conservatives) who have had minor disagreements with me. But I’ve learned the hard way that working with “let’s burn down the house because we didn’t get my way” types frequently leads merely to defeat. I don’t like to see that attitude coming from the Karl Roves (against our candidates such as Christine O’Donnell or Akin once it became clear that he wasn’t getting out) and I don’t like to see it my fellow conservatives. We are in a struggle for the survival of our Republic and folks who clearly understand that don’t take the time to engage in petty and counterproductive grievances.
I’ll continue to work with other conservatives who don’t agree with me 100% but I will not allow myself to be silenced by those folks. If any of those other conservatives don’t want to work with me because they don’t like what I say, then it’s their loss. I’d just say “auf wiedersehen” to such folks and wish them well.
No-one is suggesting that your opinion be silenced. I expect you will vote your principles and conscience in November, as will I.
Long term... it is important to remember that even if folks don't follow your advice, you may need to work with them in the future, and throwing around personal attacks won't help that cause.

One person’s “throwing around personal attacks” can be another person’s “pointing out the truth”. Some folks are uncomfortable hearing or reading the truth about what consequences can result from foolish actions. And I’ve lived long enough to know that, frequently, fools don’t recognize when they are being foolish.
