Not true. The Democrat elites desire power. With power they can steal someone else's wealth. They use collectivist rhetoric to appeal to some very stupid lazy people to form a big mob. They use mob tactics to achieve their goals. Their is nothing in their beliefs to support a rational system of economics and personal freedom. The rights granted are those that appeal to their most ardent followers. To sum it up, they thrive on power and theft. That's the modern Democrat.

Unfortunately, organization by a small mob carries them further in politics than that of middle America. Middle America is too interested in pursuing self interest. They are by definition divided and conquered. Middle America needs to awaken, read history, and get its act together. Middle America needs to organize. Start with the Tea Party.
