AN OPEN LETTER TO WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON
09-04-12 | TEDWINT

Posted on 09/04/2012 7:32:43 AM PDT by MostlyAnti-Lib

You, Mr. President, are unquestionably the most popular Democrat in the free world. I’ll give you that. When people, Democrats and Republicans alike, make lists of the greatest presidents of the United States, ever, your name is right up there at or near the top! You get better than six figures for your speeches. The William J. Clinton Presidential Center, in Little Rock, is worth a cool couple hundred million. It is quite an impressive tribute. Heck, I’ve been there, and I think it’s worth the trip (and I‘m a Republican).

Now, everyone in the political world is all atwitter wondering what Bill Clinton will say in his Keynote Address at the Democratic Convention. Will he, in effect, be “rubber-stamping” all of President Obama’s policies over the last three and a half years?

Of course, President Obama would love to get a ringing endorsement from one so revered by darn near everybody!

What has he got to gain by using such an awesome weapon? A heck of a lot more credibility than he has going for him right now!! He can say to the American voter, “Did you like Bill Clinton? Well, why not vote for four more years of that kind of prosperity?”

What has he got to lose by using such an awesome weapon? To quote Rush Limbaugh, “Zip, zero, nada.”.

You survived Monica Lewinsky, Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, et al, and that took some doing. You survived Whitewatergate and Vince Foster, also masterfully done. You survived lying under oath to a federal grand jury, but can you survive Barack Obama?

You might want to ask yourself, “What have I got to gain by going along with this stratagem?” More importantly, “What have I got to lose?”

Naturally, it’s always great to be on the winning team! If Obama’s campaign is successful, it wouldn’t surprise me none if there will be talk of making some room on Mount Rushmore for a fifth presidential likeness. But will the fifth face be the countenance of the first SYMBOLICALLY black president or will it be a reproduction of the first PARTIALLY black president?

You know that when Mr. Obama achieves one of his incredibly rare accomplishments, every third word in his inevitable “spike-the-ball-in-the-end-zone” speech is either “I” or “me”, so don’t hold your breath while waiting for accolades or “attaboys” from His Excellency.

If, on the other hand, Obama’s campaign is NOT successful, I don’t need to remind you of his penchant for wildly darting his eyes around the room, looking for someone to blame… and who’s going to be standing there, head and shoulders above the rest? Good ol’ Bubba.

Oh, and there’s yet another scenario that needs to be considered. Suppose, as some predict, that after the survivors sift through the smoking ruins that remain of our country after four more years of an Obama presidency, it is determined that, indeed, Barack Obama was, hands down, the WORST president of the United States… EVER. And when folks start looking around for those who were instrumental in giving us four more years of an Obama presidency… you guessed it. Good ol’ Bubba.

Oh, you’ll probably survive Barack Obama, but the going rate on those speeches may take a serious hit for a few years, and there’s probably no danger of The William J. Clinton Presidential Center, in Little Rock, being bulldozed to put in a shopping mall. It was too expensive!! Of course, the attendance may suffer a bit of a downturn.

Mr. President, I didn’t vote for you, but I like you and I respect you. I think you deserve better treatment than you are being set up for in the coming weeks.

BARF alert.
Bubba is NOT liked, and especially NOT here on FR.
FR came about due to his abuses and attacks on our rights.
He was, until Skippy the Echolocating Wonderbat, the worst president since Carter.

” but I like you and I respect you.”

No, Bubba does NOT deserve any respect or even admiration.

“I think you deserve better treatment than you are being set up for in the coming weeks.”

No, he deserved being in prison for giving missile technology and fighter technology to China in exchange for campaign cash.

All that saved Clinton was the contract with America..and he was not the daddy of it.

His praise is a bit much but I do believe that Dems think he is the best President in history with the thanks to the Republican Congress who helped him. Reagan is our best President in history and we had a Democratic Congress during that time. It is weird to think that the greatest Presidents (according to each party) had different party Congresses. I wonder if there is something to that?

Billy Boy ought to hand the DNC convention his own ‘empty chair’ speech.

THAT would be in the best interest of everyone concerned, and even rehabilitate Billy Boy and his Tuna after all their shenanigans.

Bubba Jeff Clinton will pretend that Barack Hussein Obama never used the “racist” card against the Clintons in 2008.

The Democrat planks are built on such lies.

Ye, Adolph, you were simply the best. No one else in history has been your equal as a military leader. Your handling of the economy was beyond reproach.

Everyone loves you and rightfully so.

I do think maybe you were a little harsh with the Jews.

If you know that now, why isn't Gingrich the candidate?

I was for Gingrich from the beginning, but all I got was barf alerts and grief at FR and elsewhere. He's clearly a better debater and has forgotten more ideas than Romney can remember. I kept saying, I'm not voting for someone to have beer with, I want my country back. Then someone would post back with some crap about his marriage.

Clinton is a serial adulterer, a perjurer, a liar right on TV in front of the whole world, and was impeached. Newt did that, but no one else had the guts to follow through.

I only hope that some of the talking heads bring up the fact that Clinton screwed the pooch(among other things) and was thoroughly embarrassed at his first mid term with the loss of congress to the repubs. The economy was in a downturn and everything was looking bleak. After his drubbing, at least he was politician enough to know he was a lame duck and agreed to the Contract and other laws Gingrich passed in 100 days. He somehow gets the credit for the economy even though in reality, he was a failure.

Somehow, with Gingrich in the race, we end up with a Mormon flip flop from Mass who wrote the health care mandate. I just hope he can man up when the time comes. I already have the sickness in the pit of my stomach when he "reaches out" to Pelosi and Wasserman Shultz. Can't we all just get along? barf.

Possibly one of the most mediocre presidents of all time. His legacy will be one of sexual harassment, sexual assault, rape accusations, impeachment and lying in a court of law. He is a disgrace to the office of president and he was simply lucky to be in office when the tech bubble inflated and the Republicans where lead by Newt Gingrich.

Clinton is a scumbag and he is a great representative of today's Democrat party!

Everything that needs to be remembered about the “bent one” can be summed up in a few seconds of video of a pasty, red faced scumbag, pointing his bony finger at America and say, “I did not have sex with that woman.....”

Ignorant, worthless, lying, degenerate, scumbag, ultra liberal, POS, that no respectable person would want ANYTHING to do with.

I guess that about sums up my feelings.

Mostly — your post says it all... the Dems and press go ballistic when a Republican makes a stupid comment about Rape, yet when their boy gets caught in compromising situations with interns, gets accused of sexual harrassment by at least 4 women, and rape by one... they keep him on that pedistal and worship at his altar...they are such hypocrites, indeed !!!!

Reagan was a great President, certainly the Best in my lifetime. I do believe that MOST of our best presidents have certainly been Republicans. I think Lincoln would rate above Reagan, beyond that I would say that Reagan is the best Republican president.

As much as I despise the former Rapist-in-Chief I would give anything to have him back with Newt running Congress again.

Who could have ever thought Obambi would be SO BAD we would wish for BJClintoon back...

At the time I rememember hating the Clinton Administration and was for his impeachment. Still think he should’ve resigned. However, I have to say that some of his record was impressive if you are a liberty loving Republican, specifically welfare reform, budget surplus, capital gains tax cut, and lack of a perpetual and costly war. Remember the “era of big government is over?” It was. For awhile.

“specifically welfare reform”

If you will go to the Heritage Foundation web site, they have numerous fact based studies that show what complete nonsense this is. Hint: if your cat has kittens in the oven, you don't call them biscuits. If you move millions of people off of welfare onto ‘disability’, it's still welfare. Call it anything you want, but nothing changed.

If you want to see it in black and white, go to this link and download this document:

http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2009/09/obama-to-spend-103-trillion-on-welfare-uncovering-the-full-cost-of-means-tested-welfare-or-aid-to-the-poor

The chart on page 8 makes it perfectly clear. Unfortunately this chart also clearly shows that the “Draconian” cuts that Reagan made in welfare did very little as well.

You just listed Republican ideas.. not Clinton ideas.
He was big on claiming credit for that which he did not do.
