I’m a Vietnam vet and if someone found a legal way to avoid service and didn’t protest or undermine us, then that was mox nix to me.

Many years ago I finally decided that some folks would have been a hindrance to the mission and that it was bad for my liver to bitch, moan, complain and worry about them.
After all, the freedom to make choices like that, and live with the results, was a large part of why I was in the uniform.
