Oh dear! That’s terrible! Are you able to get to the doctor’s? I hope that you have someone to look after you as you get better.
I had back problems all my life, but they were minor compared to that kind of pain, and I never had to take pain meds.
Then I found out that they were caused by food allergies, of all things, and when I eliminated the foods, that cured me.
So I’m not much help on the “my experience” score with your troubles. Sorry.

I guess time are giving me more ease and comfort today,
thank God. And I just told my son I’m blessing and
thanking him every time I pick up the long-handled
claw thingy for something .. even using it to get
food out of the fridge .. LOL. It’s a godsend.
