Mitt’s speech was wonderful- inspiring.
He brought it!
So go ahead and flame.
I am not a Republican I am a Conservative.
I wont vote for a liberal period.
He appointed liberal judges.
Romney, asked if he has engaged in any horse-trading with Democratic politicians, said: So far I have not ever given any weight whatsoever to whether I think someone can make it through the Governors Council. I send them individuals who I feel are highly qualified and have the right judicial temperament related to crime and punishment.
They went through the Governor's council.
Romney appointed ZERO pro-life judges, ZERO conservative judges, only 25% of the judges he submitted were even registered republicans.
"Of course, Romneys claim is nonsense. Im no great fan of the Governors Council, but the Globe is quite right to note that one thing they have generally not been is overtly partisan. The notion that the Governors Council would have started rejecting judicial nominees if there were too many Republicans among them, simply because they were Republicans, is more than a bit absurd. And Romney of course has no evidence to substantiate what hes saying.
"Near the end of Romneys term, in 2006, he stripped the Judicial Nominating Commission of many of its powers, allowing his administration to put a more direct stamp on the judiciary, as he prepared to run for president. What a sad joke this man is.
100% of them were liberals, only 25% of them were republicans.
I think tonight proved that under that expensive suit, Romney has an American heart and it beats strong. Obama just has a shriveled mass that kind of looks like a crumpled birth certificate.
If you really think there is a possibility any of the current conservative SC justices would retire in a second Obama term I have a nice piece of ocean front property up here in Montana I can sell you for cheap. Also can you imagine the wrath they would face from the right if they would retire. The big money speaking engagements would be far and few in coming
Levin is a Conservative Republican I'm not. I suspect you like many here are conservative Republicans who want to support your party.
I will support my country and allowing a liberal to appoint liberal justices to the Supreme Court is insanity because of the untold damage they can do in 40 years on the bench’
I am optimistic the country could muddle through four years of Obama, the nation has survived far worse. But allowing a liberal the opportunity to replace the conservative justices on the SC is something I will never support or vote for, the damage they will do to the country is far to great.
Obama is a husk who fills itself with whatever someone wants it to be, but never what will help that person, only that which will hurt and further empower the husk. It is literally the vessel of lies.
It is pure Evil, and it must be defeated.
“100% of them were liberals, only 25% of them were republicans”
A point well taken, you are right.
Robert Bork will make a comeback with Obama. They are BFF’s. They Tweet each other every othe day. (wink-wink)
Conservatives can’t win a war if they couldn’t even persuade fellow conservatives, who are about 60-65% of Republicans, to vote for them in the primaries. Romney’s winning the nomination is the sign of conservatives’ weakness, not the success of his campaign.
When one has tunnel vision, it can be hard to discern what others can see clearly.....
I joined to join in the conversation, to add my voice to the mix.
Is Romney as conservative as I would like? No, he is not. That doesn’t change the fact that he will be a much better President than Barack Obama. How anyone can not see the differences between the two men is beyond me.
We are all in the same boat, the Titanic II is going down. We'd best paddle the same direction.
Actually, now that I’ve watched Romney at the convention, I have grown to respect the man.
I thought the entire convention was very good, and I came away feeling a bit better about my country, and about Romney.
I may be Pollyanna (I don’t think so)—but I do think if this man wins the presidency—and we can gain a lot of seats in the House and the Senate, America’s future will look a bit brighter, at least for a while.
You would be wrong.
Thanks at least I have a personality
If you are going to ask questions let me answer not you
Really sonny it’s silly to ask and answer them your self
My emotional high is conservativism apparently yours is fawning over a liberal
I’m not a sonny. I’m a 65 year old female. Don’t make assumptions.
