Well, most of’em say “Jimmy Carter”, not “James”; on the other hand, they say “Dwight D. Eisenhower” when at the time anyone without a stick up his a$$ called him “Ike”.

Which is to say, people with sticks up their a$$e$ will insist upon "Willard" over "mitt".
