Thats it. You can shut down the convention right now. Its over. Romneys camp just shut down all dissent, and they rigged it that way. Twitter is awash in angry tweets from people who know this was a sham. John Boehner actually wielded the gavel without a hint of a tear as he said the ayes have it. They didnt have it, and I think it was pretty clear that even if they did, this was a set-up. I have news for the GOP establishment. I am voting in November. I will vote for all the down-ballot candidates who are worthy of my support. I am not going to vote for Mitt Romney. Dont look at the page as though youve read the words of a man pledging treason. It was not I who rigged the primaries. It was not I who rigged the convention. It was not I who rigged the rules committee. All of those things are actual treasons against the conservatives in the America, and all of those things were carried out by Mitt Romney and his legion. I am a small matter to it, but I will have my say. If the Republican party wishes to commit suicide by Romney, they may do so, but they will do so without my help in the matter. John Boehner may have enjoyed his moment in despotic pleasure, and Reince Priebus may have been doing his masters bidding, but Mitt Romney had it within his power to put a stop to all of this, but when tested by circumstance, Mitt Romneys fatal character flaws prevailed.
The Republican Party is dead. Its time we get on with this convention and consider it a funeral. Youre witnessing a party that will now fall, and Im going to help it on its way. Some of you diehard Republicans who read this blog may wish to find other haunts. Its not going to be pretty. When I saw John Sununu begin to surface with regularity on Fox News over the last few weeks, I suspected the fix was in. His conduct of the RNC Rules Committee on Tuesday demonstrates that fact.
I am a person who refuses to separate his convictions from his actions and choices. Mitt Romney could have done many things to gain my support, and the support of many others, but rather than do so, he seized control. He used all his pals and buddies to take over and make the voices of grass-roots Republicans and Tea Party conservatives silent. Some will urge that we remain focused on November, and I agree, but my focus is irrevocably changed. I am out to defeat the GOP establishment in any and every form that may take.
Note to conservatives: I will understand if you swallow your pride and your principles and vote for Mitt Romney, but do not come to this site to chastise me or others who refuse to join you. Your argument had consisted of convincing us that the Romnoids wouldnt behave this way, and at precisely that moment when they needed to prove it, they behaved precisely as we dissenters knew that they would. Save it.
Romney had his chance. Today, he blew it.
“Get rig of the hate-America, marxist, commie, muzzie, racist POS 0bummer, FIRST! If we dont, your can use your downstream ticket votes to wipe you butt. It wont matter at all.”
I openly wonder how many of the folks who claim they wont vote for Romney actually get government support in some form or another?
Agreed. Get Barry out first. The Tea Party ain’t done by any means.
Amen to that.
Yes, it sure did. The GOP-E acted exactly like the Rat Party yesterday.
Cut...nose...face.
Not voting for Mitt is the same as voting for Obozo. If you think he’s better than virtually anyone else on the planet, I fear for this Republic.
I am sick of faux Conservatives demanding that we drink the Romney/GOP-E hemlock.
Presidency means NOTHING with respect toa Tea Party Constitutional Government.
That starts way out in the states- in the local legislatures, statehouses and governors. When that has happened...a Tea Party presidency will follow.
That’s Sarah’s game
The liberals have been playing this game since the 1930’s. They’re still ahead...way ahead. The Tea Party is playing catch up...and has yet to show it can go the distance.
We don’t know for sure, but already he and his surrogates have been tougher on Obama than McCain EVER was. He’s no conservative, and I don’t like him at all. Still, four more years of Obama’s distruction is not an option. Best we can do now is pray for God’s mercy on America and put it in His hands.
Anyone that spouts this drivel is too stupid to be allowed to vote.
I don't want you in my foxhole, you wouldn't bring any ammo.
Probably written by Obama’s campaign team anyway. He will do whatever it takes to get reelected the least of which is lying
Blah, blah, blah...
Utterly delusional. Romney will at least part of the time do conservative things and at least will help to reverse the state socialism that Obama is trying to put in place. Obama in a second term will not be checked by conservatives. As he told Medvedev, he will have a lot more "flexibility" in his second term. I hope you enjoy Obama's "flexibility" and marxification of the USA.
I will hold my nose and vote for Romney b/c the number one priority is getting Obama out of the People’s House. Today I am changing my party affiliation from Republican to Independent. I’m sick and tired of the GOP taking my vote for granted.
It doesn’t get done the next election, Einstein! It starts the day Romney is elected, continues through the transition and then we cultivate the groundwork for ‘14 mid terms, GET IT?
Some here still carry that mantra that Sarah is stupid, well if you would take some advice and a clue from Sarah, she saw that the only way to emasculate the GOPe was to do it down ballot and not from the head. Take away the GOPe base, which is the down ballot, and then another age of Reagan can begin but this one even better than before.
What she is building is a coalition of tea party conservatives from which to take over the GOPe and she will do it just as she did what many said was impossible, put the cronies in her own party in jail. I don’t subscribe following anybody like the Obama idiots did, but instead look, listen and see what she does and how she does it. Her tact has them even more scared today than if she would have run and attained the nomination.
Here’s what I don’t like: Romney is a leftist Republican who really belongs in the Democrat party, yet he is now the only choice we have against Obama. After four years of Obama, we’ve got a significant portion of he country up in arms and darn near ready to revolt. If we elect Romney will every conservative then drop his guard and say “whew, that was close” and go back to business as usual? Will we fail to recognize that Romney is darn near as dangerous to our freedom as any Democrat? As far as I’m concerned, the revolutionary edge that many people are feeling needs to increase after Romney wins (assuming a lot here) rather than decrease, but I’m afraid it won’t.
You want a bellyful of Obama cyanide?
I love my country too much to enable 4 more years of the Marxist and his Czarists.
No, they are NOT the same. That is objectively false. Please learn to make distinctions. Romney is not perfect, but he is not a state socialist like Obama. He chose Paul Ryan as his running mate, so he can take some conservative actions once in a while. Obama will never do so. As for the rule changes, I don't understand all of it, but it seems to me that the delegates should vote for the candidate who wond the state concerned, as I believe is the thrust of the rule changes and what the Democratic Party's rules already require apparently.
What a pitiful campaign McCain ran.
