BTW, 40 is a mere child to me :) And I know of a couple, who had never had any biological children but who decided in their 40s that they were going to adopt a child from the Philippines. They wound up adopting 3 children under 5, who were siblings that this couple refused to split up! That was about 3 years ago and they are doing a terrific job. Such a blessing for them and for their children.
