If it werent so tragic and there werent so much at stake, the tiptoe strategy of the Romney Tepid Team would actually be funny to watch. Here you have a group of archetypal RINOs who were clever and tough enough to figure out how to destroy the relatively weak Republican primary field while Romney patiently waited his turn next in line behind John McMush to be anointed by the Republican establishment.
Since the Republican debates ended, however, Romney has been so weak-kneed that hes barely been able to keep pace with a president whom everyone but the most naïve among us now realizes is a dedicated Marxist. Romney and his Tepid Team apparently feel confident that he can quietly slip through the clogged media filters all the way to Tampa, get the official nomination, then squeak out a win in November without making a wave in the process.
But it may not be quite that easy for Romney, because he still has to figure out how to deal with those pesky P & P problems: Sarah Palin and Ron Paul. You can just feel the fear emanating from the Romney control-and-command center at the thought of these two highly principled liberty lovers roaming around loose.

My barber is ‘rabid’ Paul supporter. I will not rip Paul while she is cutting my hair!
Anyone talking about Ron or Sarah at this point - when victory is within our grasp, right there for the taking - is probably far to used to losing.
All of this hand wringing and whining over a blog??
You folks need to get a real life, you seem to be just looking for the next thing to justify voting for someone else or not voting at all
Viable 3rd party my butt, this is the most telling part of your post, where your head is really at
Go for it
I wonder what percentage of Paul supporters will vote in each available way.
“I wonder what percentage of Paul supporters will vote in each available way.”
She and the rest of her RP buddies are going to vote for Gary Johnson. Go figure.
The Paulbots are no different than the obamabots.
Its like a cult of personality where idol worship remains the one constant over all else.
“You can just feel the fear emanating from the Romney control-and-command center at the thought of these two highly principled liberty lovers roaming around loose.”
You have to “feel” it since there is no evidence of it, and none was presented in the article. And where is Rand Paul on this? I thought “feeling” was the province of liberals.
Sarah is waiting but will endorse Romney. She likes to be on the winning side. Paul will not, due to personality defects.
some Paul supporters will vote for Gary Johnson, but he is running at what percentage in the polls?
Paul had a lot more supporters than that.
Mitt’s a big boy. He numerically locked up the nomination a couple of months ago. If he really didn’t lock up Sarah and Ron (or at least get Ron not to stand at the tent flap peeing in) that’s on him. That said, post-Akin, if Mitt loses, I don’t think even Steve Schmidt is going to be able to blame it on either.
“Do you think Mitt Romney hates this country? Barack Obama does!”
Amen ! Amen! to everything you say. but there are folks on FR who would rather give BO 4 more years to destroy our country, than to vote for Romney.
God Save America from from 4 more years of BO.
I want Obama Out and will most likely vote ABO. When Romney wins I will vote ABR. Maybe someday I will get someone I can support.
I generally like people. I think Ron Paul is a good person. I love Rand. I think Sarah Palin is a great person to be around. She says a lot of things I believe. I don’t think Mitt Romney fears either one of them....at least I hope not. What’s the sense in anything if he does? What the sense in having a strong ticket for the economy like Romney/Ryan if they’re afraid of anything having to do with it? I love all the ideas that are pouring out of the Conservative movement on the presidential end. I like the pokes, jabs, and good humor. It’s exciting. I worry about Congressional candidates and Senate Candidates who will say anything, even against their own party, to become powerful individuals. I worry about the “none of the above” voters who think they’re doing the Lord’s work by opening the door to Obama again. “Somebody’s knocking. Should I let him in? Lord, it’s the devil, would you look at him?” If it’s true that we need a third party, bring it on! Stop talking about it. Do it. Stop threatening. Do it. I voted for Ross Perot. If we have none this time, I want Romney and Ryan to have a chance to do what they can do. Vote for the people at home who can change things.
The good thing is that if Romney is so bad we can primary him in 2016. So he will have to be on at least some good behavior whereas Thulsa Doom not facing election will end this nation forever.
“Ive never had any love for Governor Romney, but when the choice comes down to either him or Barack Hussein Obama, a man dead-set on destroying my country, the country of my birth and whose uniform I proudly wore, there is no contest. And that is the choice. No third party or write-in candidate is going to be sworn in next January. “
I agree. It is RINOmney or Zero. Neither is a good choice. Sudden destruction or slow devastation. Same result whether you the guy you vote for hates the country or loves it - neither of which is probably completely true.
