I’m as pro life as they come, but if a daughter of mine got raped and ended up pregnant and wanted an abortion I’d let her.

Exactly. I agree, and most Americans agree.
It does the GOP no good to say that they want an Amendment (that has no chance of being ratified anyway) which would forbid a woman ending such a pregnancy.
And the pure pro-lifers need to realize that their cause is undermined by demanding fealty to a pledge to implement abortion policy that most Americans oppose.
