I didn't think Romney had it in him, but I think he is actively starting to live inside Obama’s head. For the last few weeks he has been doing precisely what would most unhinge a person with Obama’s psych issues. I wonder if they've done a full psych profile on Obama and are aiming push him into unscripted rants.

I think that's a lot of what's going on. Make some "good natured" jokes that have the effect of kicking Zero in the b@lls. He can't take it and the race card ain't gonna work.
