The most important point of this is not that Illinois is likely to go GOP, because it isn't. The importance is that in order to hold Illinois Obama is going to need to have every precinct captain and poll worker out in Illinois. In a normal year those people are sent to Wisconsin and Indiana to help out the democrats there. With the Chicago machine busy at home it give us a much better chance of keeping Indiana at home and bringing Wisconsin onto the red side of the ledger.

Basically if IL isn’t over the top automatic, NOTHING is safe for Obama, it will effect the rest of the election.
