I’m so sorry your family has to go through this, fella. It must be a stressful and scary time for all of you.
A friend of my daughter’s and her sister are at high risk: their mother died of breast cancer as did their aunt and grandmother.
They are both around 30. They’d be best tested now, wouldn’t they? and can that gene be detected at any time?
I will pray for your daughter. Many advances have been made in the field of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment and you can rest assured that she is in competent hands and will get the very best care from the surgeons, hospital staff and all who are blessed to know her.
She looks to be a precious, lovely daughter.
I’m going to donate now.
All the best, Mary in Wisconsin
PS Caringbridge.com is a great site and way for your daughter to share updates without having to talk to each person who wants to follow her progress.
Yes one of those girls should get genetic testing, it ain't cheap but then the second girl's testing will be cheaper as the geneticist will know what genes to look for instead of doing a total scan. It what my girls have done, it wasn't planned that way it just sort of happened.
We're working on a way to get one of us up there to be with her.
