I got the e-mail from a personal friend who is a retired federal LE still well connected on the national level. Both he and his association of retired LEs are concerned about the purchases and composed the letter. That sends off huge alarm bells in my mind.
I’m concerned too but that doesn’t mean that factually incorrect letters should be sent out to congress. If the letter displays ignorance it really detracts from the over all message.
