Early this morning, about 5:05 AM, my nephew saw a star explode in the constellation Ursa Major.
We're not star hounds and do not know the name of the star that blew, but he did see it and he was sober.
This is his first ever critical astronomy observation. It is amazing what one can see smoking a ciggie on the back deck.
Isn’t that the opening shot to “The Brady Bunch” ?
Stellar explosions tend to be like the Energizer Bunny and keep going and going... see http://suite101.com/article/the-crab-nebula-supernova-1054-ad-a23371. The event witnessed in 1054AD was visible for 23 days in full sunlight, and completely faded away after 2 years observation.

Could it happen? My answer is yes. Will it happen again? Same answer, yes.
Knowing both of you are intelligent beings, would your answers also be yes?
Now the hard question. Since people have been born to cause good to take place for this planet, would there also be people born to this planet who would seek to destroy all those who would be born of good, and would seek to not help people and good but harm and attempt to destroy those who live on this planet? Those of evil would also not be truly of this planet? Opens up religion for discussion and states there are forces of both good and evil (clearly imho), but does it say something else and none of us have figured out what is being said to all of us? My answer is still yes. My apology if all of my questions have been contemplated by each of you prior.
