Thanks - I’ll check that out next time I go to the city.. I’ve accumulated a dozen of the small tanks over the years, but the idea of using “throw-aways” in a SHTF situation has always kind-of galled me... ;)

Get an adapter hose and just hook straight up to any tank.

I have a double burner Coleman that I hook up to a 5 gal tank.

I had it for my deer camp, and used it quite a few times when I still lived in town and had an electric stove.

When refilling the small propane bottles, place them in ice or the frig before and between two or three fill efforts per bottle. This will get them much closer to full.

Even a damp rag in a breeze and shade helps.

I have not been able to get them more than about 80% to 90% as full as new purchased. My guess is they vent/bleed them while filling at the factory.

I’ve refilled dozens, many three & four times.
