My point was not so much a comparison of rates, as simply trying to evaluate rbg81’s “very, very low.” Anyway, it’s not the key point.

There’s something strange, anyway, about secular Jews’ being so committed to free-abortion-on-demand, since it appears it is not they who are engaging in abortion. The same is true of homosexuals: what do they need abortion for? Why are these groups some of the most vociferous supporters of abortion, and some of the largest donors to Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities?

It’s a strange reversal of the usual “Do what I say, not what I do.” (Theodore Dalrymple and Charles Murray have also observed this.) Higher-income, better educated people generally don’t engage in promiscuous hookups resulting in children of various parentage. They divorce less often, have fewer abortions, get and hold jobs, and all that “how to be economically-successful stuff.

And yet, they tell others, with their money to back it up, “We want *you* to have abortions. We think it’s good for *you* to screw anything with a pulse. We think living in idleness on the dole is okay for *you*. Illiteracy, innumeracy, and cultural deprivation are okay for *you*.”

It puts me in a Confusion.

I would put the abortionists into four main camps:

1. Women who are scared to death they’ll get pregnant and fear the consequences (including social embarrasment & weight gain). This goes for their boyriends too.
2. People who [secretly] don’t want to see their “inferiors” have kids.
3. People who hate the human race (including themselves) and don’t want any babies being born—period.
4. Weak minded people who belive abortion is a good thing because their so called “enlightened” friends, colleagues, or mentors have told them so.
