I have drawn some parts with Solidworks that were made this way. It is a very cool process, but I could make something just as functional with an antique Bridgeport.

true but, the Bridgeport costs more than $2000, takes up a small room and you have to know how to machine... this can be done on the cheap anywhere with a downloaded CAD file by anyone
