Tolerance is just asking people to “put up” with something...
Acceptance is for someone to unconditionally accept something with no reservations...
When you force people to ACCEPT something, there will certainly be a backlash....
Good point - and I think the gay advocates were terribly confused on this point. They did not understand that many of their own liberal allies are not all that accepting, just believing in tolerance.
They revealed themselves to be greedy and selfish. Even leaving out the CFA Appreciation Day, I think many of their own supporters were annoyed with them (a glance at some of the Facebook remarks from the later proves this).
