Did you idiots even watch the video you posted? They say within the first 90 seconds that he was charged with his third DWI. I think that's a pretty good indicator.

Get the car to the house and it saves the cost of the impound at the towing yard. That can run up $3,500 or more and most likely the car sold to pay the storage before it can be retrieved.
If he was smart he'd at least get himself a faster car to increase the odds he could get away.
Obviously the smartest move is don't drink and drive. I hope he gets lots of jail time.
