Americans have a gut reaction to the word “bigot”, so that might be an effective way to communicate some of the Muslim’s bad behavior.
“Bigoted Muslims. Muslim bigots.”
An important characteristic of bigotry is that bigots tend to neither see it in themselves nor see bigotry as derogatory. And this works against them, because others do have strongly negative associations with the words.
But a lot of the mood Americans have of tolerance of Muslim bad behavior will evaporate when Muslims are associated with bigotry.
My gut reaction is to always look first at the one hurling the word. Been my experience that they probably are one.
