The Free Republic of today is nothing like it used to be. It’s sad to see everything in this country swirling around in the toilet. We are a first hand witness to a memorable moment in history.I agree that the country is in decline and that this is an important moment in history but I don't think there's anything wrong with FR. Disagreements between conservatives (even heated disagreements, even nasty disagreements, even disagreements in which one conservative says another conservative is "not a conservative") doesn't change the fact that in my mind FR is the greatest site on the internet. Period.
It's the ONLY place I go for ALL my news, information and commentary (and yes, I do follow the links to the source sites so I do end up being more widely read than just a single-site-person).
