It’s a blog.
If he hadn’t gone he’d be charged with disrespecting black Americans.
For Republicans it’s a no-win.
I think it made him look better. He went into enemy territory and told the truth.
Well, maybe so. But you don't know that by reading this.
It's a blog. Bloggers can just as easily "write" about Zombies decimating Ontario.
Find a real source, then believe.
Agreed.
I’d always thought it was a no-win situation, but going in there and unapologetically telling them the truth seems to offer some rewards.
I assume that middle class Blacks enjoy paying for the healthcare of illegals.
There have already been about 20 articles on this subject posted today.
I don’t think he’ll get many black votes out of this, but it may help with independents and conservatives who were debating not voting for him. Either way, I still say it’s a plus.
Well, given the current situation in the U.S. government, you could say he spoke truth to power. Maybe the best example of it we’ve seen in years.
Romney did well today.
1. Walked into the lions den and told the truth without pandering and took on the biggest issue and called it “obamacare”
2. Made obama look small by showing up and not going into a fake voice
3. Got the message out that he can handle tough audiences and is not afraid to deal w people who hate him.
Win win today for the GOP
Romney should win points with any thinking person for wading into a den of mindless liberalism that is the National Association of Liberal Colored People. Don’t think he lost any votes by doing so.
You always take the war to your enemy, in their own territory.
It shows that you have guts to confront them on their own turf. Also, it give some of them a chance to hear you in person and perhaps actually listen to what you have to say.
If you don’t show up, you are perceived, rightly, as a coward, by both the leftists/liberals and your own supporters.
Remember the old military adage: “The best defense is a good offense.”
“Defense never won a war; only postponed victory”.
So we probably don't need some blogger's mis-written take on it.
I think Cleaver thinks Romney is naive. Romney knew that what he was going to speak about to the NAACP audience was not going to popular with them, especially repealing Cleaver’s favorite piece of legislation, Obamacare, that was rammed down the throats of the American people. He still did not claimed Breibart’s $100,000 reward for finding the person who he claimed spit at him during the kill the bill rally in March, 2010. Cleaver is not credible!
Fair enough. The previous threads I read already had so many replies, I figured there wasn’t anything for me to add to them.
ping for later
I just called Cleaver’s DC office and told them I am sick to death of them pulling the race card on every issue. I am white and my doctor is black. He is not even a provider on my insurance so I pay out of pocket to see him because he is such a great doctor. He is very concerned about Obamacare and wants it repealed. Does that make my “black” Dr a racist?
Yaay! I’ll be sure to click on all her ads then, to help out someone who speaks the truth. Thanks for alerting me.
