If they were, I’d agree with you, but this had nothing to do with illegal aliens.

These checkpoints are horrible. The guy was held up for 30 minutes in traffic to ask whether he was illegal... twice in one day! (Same checkpoint?) I assumed that the Arizona laws that were passed were to check the illegal status of people who were lawfully stopped and suspected of a crime...

I might be quoting the ACLU, but enough is enough.. If stopped, ask: Why was I stopped, am I being detained, am I free to go.... politely refuse to be searched without cause.

By the way, this guy appears to be a good, God-fearing Christian HERO.
