WTH makes you think nothing happened? There were issues, but they were minor because folks worked as many as possible.
I was doing civil defense radio comms during the roll over at a water pumping station and at 0000 all of the pumps turned on. Before we could shut them down, they had blown 6 major leaks in the town I was living in.
Media didn't cover it because the city had a plan b.

Any one disappointed because there wasn't a disaster clearly has problems that no amount of preparedness can address.

FEMA is a good place to get free plans for fire shelters and how to run your tractor on wood chips. Send away for FEMA's brochure on stocking up with food and water and get put on their list as a "Known Hoarder" at no extra cost!
