FEMA is a good place to get free plans for fire shelters and how to run your tractor on wood chips.

I was so disappointed when nothing happened for Y2K

WTH makes you think nothing happened? There were issues, but they were minor because folks worked as many as possible.

I was doing civil defense radio comms during the roll over at a water pumping station and at 0000 all of the pumps turned on. Before we could shut them down, they had blown 6 major leaks in the town I was living in.

Media didn't cover it because the city had a plan b.

"I was so disappointed when nothing happened for Y2K."

Any one disappointed because there wasn't a disaster clearly has problems that no amount of preparedness can address.

Send away for FEMA's brochure on stocking up with food and water and get put on their list as a "Known Hoarder" at no extra cost!
