I think the tabloid covers reach many, many people at the grocery stores who would otherwise not be exposed to that news. Just because one doesn't purchase it, doesn't mean one doesn't browse the cover while waiting. I think it's a great way to reach a real cross-section of Americans and plant a seed.

That said, I so very much regret not purchasing the issue years ago that said Clinton had hired an assistant because she had 3 breasts. Priceless.

Well it certainly isn't a "mainstream" newspaper like the Boston Globe. They are too busy discussing Whitey Bulger ad nauseum and covering for Obama in F&F rather than exposing the biggest scoop of the century.

That GLOBE targets Obama’s base. Local managers of both grocery and pharmacy says sales more than doubles when an anti Obama article is featured on the front page.

I agree. Are we now getting our news from a magazine that claims Aliens have met the president in the oval office???? By the way, the Globe is also claiming, “Divorce Melts Palin to Shocking 98 Lbs.”. I guess we need to believe that completely as well.

Sorry, I will not be receiving my news from a “newspaper” known for it’s comedic play on life.
