Here's my sole required disclaimer:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
Good luck using that if the FEC decides to do an audit. You may be in the right, but in the right with a big fat fine on your back.
Oh, and in FEC v Adams, that defense was made and the FEC won slapping the defendant with a $106K fine.
